My maternal Great Great Grandfather was George WILLIS who was born at Basington County of Hants, England about 1818 to the parents of Stephen and Sarah WILLIS. He married Agnes HEDINGHAM in England and one child named Lydia was born before they sailed to South Africa. Sarah had a sister Rachel who became a Lady, but I do not know her last name as she must have been married to a Sir to have the title of Lady. Their children were: Lydia, James (my Gt Grandfather) born 26 November 1846 at Sea, George, Sarah, Rachael and Charles. Any names ring a bell ? Many thanks Valda (Johannesburg South Africa)
