The family bible had a journal in the back written by his father, another John George Willis who apparently traveled from England to the U.S. abt. 1859 and settled in Maryland. If anyone has any info on this family it would certainly be appreciated. I would like to find out if John Willis born in 1859 had any brothers or sisters, who his mother was, and where in England they came from. I haven't been able to find them in the 1860 census in Maryland where there should be a John Willis with a son abt 1 year old. If anyone has any ideas about where else I should be checking, please let me know. Thanks.
