I need help. A few years ago my grandmother hired a genealogist. She said that my line went from me, to my mother, to James Bruce Willis, to Alfred Hultz Willis, to Elias Willis, to Isaac Willis, to Robert Willis. But she said that Elias was born in Maryland in 1826, which I cannot confirm. But I do know that he lived in Ohio before he had a parting of the ways with his father (Isaac) then moved to Illinois and died in Kansas. The problem is, that the Isaac he has been linked with lived in Ohio, but never went to Maryland. Perhaps Elias was born in Pennsylvania. But another researcher has told me that I have tied into a wrong line, Because Isaac from Ohio never went to Maryland. I have a copy of Tobert's wil and the paper that Isaac filed when he contested the will, which is from Ohio. Does anyone out there know anything about this family that can help me? My grandfather (James Bruce) left this world many years ago and left so many unanswered qquesstionss about hi! s family. My mother's memory is failing, so I do hope that someone may know about this. My grandfather was a veteran of World War I and was a doughboy. He had family in California, Iowa, Ohio, Colorado. Help please. Sherrie Eden
