Dear list: I am seeking John A Willis, and his mother Rachel McQueen Willis, in census records for 1860 and 1870. I found them in Alabama in 1850. Later census records show they had children born in Alabama before 1860 and in Texas before 1870. However, John's daughter Amanda later said she was born in Louisiana in 1860. I found John and the family in Texas in Limestone County in 1880 and 1900. I have also looked for John's brothers on census records for 1870, and not found them. I know that John died fairly young, and so did his father and some of John's children. Could it be possible that John and all his brothers and his children died young? Does anybody have any information? I need your help. Thank you. John Willis is my gr-gr-grandfather. Jimmy
