I am descended from John WILLIS, born 1806 in Chatham, Kent. A shipwright he later moved to Gravesend, & established a Timber Yard. He fathered seven, children, the eldest of whom, George (b. 1834) was my GGGrandfather. Would be interested to hear from anyone with a Kent, Eng connection, particularly if from Chatham or Gravesend.
