Y'all, I have been chewing on an idea for some time now and thought I would present to this forum to see if the interest and volunteerism is there. As most of you already know, one of the main portions of my website is the Source Doucmentation Repository, which houses tens of thousands of Williams records. A little while back I transcribed the entire 1790 US Census for all Williams families and put those transcriptions on the site. Then, I began working on the 1800 census with a couple of short time helpers. However, life interrupted my work and my goal of getting every major US census transcribed for Williams families got shelved. I am constantly seeing a large number of census look-up requests from folks and want to see if I can get this project back off the shelf. I am looking for a couple of things: 1.) Do y'all think this is a good idea? 2.) Are you willing to help? If the interest is there, I will be more than happy to manage the effort. I already have the templates ready for the 1800 thru 1840 Census and have been working on the 1850. If we all pitch in an help, it should take more than a couple of years to get everything thru 1930 transcribed and available for the entire world. Then, we can start working on the smaller state census records!! If you are interested in helping out, please email me directly. Kind regards, Adrian
