    2. The following new message has been added to the Williams Genealogy Forums, on the Williams Genealogy board under the existing topic of Re: John H. Williams-Coosa,Walker Co\'s Alabama... -------------------------------- I'm adding to my prev. post on John H. Williams, as have backtracked him with the following census: 1809 Madison Co., Ala.: Williams were found with known connections to this line: Mahan, James he was the father of Mary Mahan who married John H. Williams. Cottons, they were connected to this line also. Cox were there, another connection. 1910 Logan Co., Ky.: Williams Mahan James, Philip was the father of Sarah "Sallie"James born Warren Co., Ga. married my Myers connection in Walker Co., Ala. 1820 Warren Co., Ga.: Williams Cotton, this was another connection to the Williams line. His son married Mary Mahan's sister. James, Philip again and a William James. All of the above people were either connected to or on the 1850 Coosa Co., Ala. census. The James and my line of Williams, which was John Milton Williams, son of John H. and Mary Mahan went to Prentiss Co., Miss. and then into Conway Co., Ark. Another son of John H. Wms., James moved to Henderson Co., Tex. It's believed this entire line of Williams possibly began as Quakers in Northampton Co., Va.(N.C.) .
