Name - La Nere Cleveland Williams (working on my husband's family). His name - Bobby Eugene Williams from Waco, McLennan, Texas. I became a widow this past September. We had been married 50 years. We have 1 son - Vincent Williams who is a chiropractor in Atlanta Georgia and he is married. I have been doing genealogy over 30 years and this "Williams" line is the hardest one I have ever encountered with the exception of another of my husband's lines - "Luther". We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, so genealogy is very important to us as families. I live in Austin Texas and have lived here about 35 years - a beautiful place to live. My husband and I were raised in Waco Texas, met there after his service in Korea and were married there. Doing genealogy is very important to me and especially after the death of my husband. We have matched with 2 other people but have not made any connection on that as yet. We are working on it. I do know that the earliest that we know of came from North Carolina to Illinois and Indiana and then to Arkansas and then to Texas. One thing that drives me crazy is that so many families felt it necessary to name a son "William Williams"! I hope our labors will be more fruitful this year.
