The following new message has been added to the Williams Genealogy board under the new topic of Williams Ebb Williams b. 1877 Texas, found on Carter Cty, Oklahoma Census 1900... -------------------------------- My great grand father is listed on the 1900 cenus,Carter County, Oklahoma Indian Territory. I believe is first name is William but he went by Ebb. He was married to Minnie Gamel Williams with one child Floyd. His name is difficult to read so I am not sure if the first name was actually William or something else that started with a W. I know his son Hayden Williams listed him as Ebb Williams on Haydens social security application. He was born 1877 somewhere in Texas. Married Minnie Gamel, who was one daughter of Kate Gamel in May 8,1897, and they were living in or near the Ardmore, Oklahoma area at the time of the census 1900. One thought I had was if anyone knows the about the marriage records in Ardmore, Oklahoma or could possibly do a look up for me there? I don't know what detail may be included in there old marriage records, it may just be the names and dates. If they filled out some sort of application it may contain other info like his parents name which would be a great find. If anyone can help please contact me.
