My mother, Adeline Williams was d/o Brant Williams, Brant was s/o Dison Williams, Dison was s/o Richard Williams, Richard was s/o John Williams. All were in WV. John is our earliest known ancestor and we are thinking of getting some dna testing done. John was born about 1773 in Greenbrier Co, Va (now WV) and died in Braxton Co, WV. Our question was, should we join this group or start a WV Williams group. Our Williams ancestors are in central WV.
