The following new message has been added to the Group 9 board under the new topic of John Williams and wife Ann Whitley...... -------------------------------- Some from Group #9 seem to agree that this DNA group 9 stems from the marriage of John Williams b. abt 1650 and his wife Ann or Elizabeth Ann Whitley b. 1654, daughter of Capt. John Whitley Sr. and wife Ann Moss. Others feel that John Williams b. abt 1650 also married Anne Moore b. abt 1637. I feel that these are two different men, and that possibly the John williams b. 1615 who I believe married Anne Moore b. abt 1637 could be the parents of the John Williams b. abt 1650 who married Ann Whitley. Is there anyone else working on this line? Children of the John Williams/Ann Whitley marriage are: Elizabeth Ellen (m. Wright), Mary Sophia (m. Browne), Bridgett Ann (m. Browne), John (m. poss. Jones & Pope and poss. others), Richard (m. Sarah Daughtry), William (m. Mary Moore), Thomas (m. Susannah Crews Blount), Jonathan or Jon of John (m. poss. Mary Keeling or Keeting and/or Mary Womack), Mary (m. John or Daniel Williams), Jane (died infant), Nicholas Hunter (m. Ann Lewis), Theophilus (d. infant), Eliza (no info.). At present I have the children of John Williams b. 1615 and wife Ann Moore b. abt 1637 as follows: George (poss. m. Susannah Clark) , Mary, Rowland, John (poss. m. Ann Whitley), Elizabeth, Thomas (poss. m. Mary budd), Anne, Sarah, Lewis (m. Mary Walburton), William, Samuel.
