See posting also under GROUPS. Some, from this group believe that the family line comes through John Williams (b. abt 1650) who married Ann Whitley (b. 1654). Do any of you who are in group 9 know your history back to this point? Of if not, can you contact Gerri Williams (gwilliams167@austin.rr.com) and perhaps we can discuss what you DO KNOW, so that we might begin to build a picture of this family line? Most agree that the family came to VA first, then to NC into the Halifax/Chowan area. At that point, some went to Tennessee and Kentucky, others headed south to GA and AL. Many ended up in Texas.
