Yep, in my updating of the software I am using to manage the project, I screwed up and lost the linkage information for the html-based pedigrees...so the results page didn't know where to find them. The one that you did find were in the TNG module. I have now corrected the problem and all of the pedigrees are now available! Adrian

Williams-Coosa,Walker Co\'s Alabama... -------------------------------- There are records for the Northampton, North Carolina Quakers by William HINSHAW. It is normally a reference book found in libraries. I don't know if they will do an interlibrary loan, but you might check. I have a seen a Robert Williams and Richard Williams but I don't recall a John H. Williams in the records I have viewed.
The following new message has been added to the Williams Genealogy Forums, on the Williams Genealogy board under the existing topic of Re: John H. Williams-Coosa,Walker Co\'s Alabama... -------------------------------- I'm adding to my prev. post on John H. Williams, as have backtracked him with the following census: 1809 Madison Co., Ala.: Williams were found with known connections to this line: Mahan, James he was the father of Mary Mahan who married John H. Williams. Cottons, they were connected to this line also. Cox were there, another connection. 1910 Logan Co., Ky.: Williams Mahan James, Philip was the father of Sarah "Sallie"James born Warren Co., Ga. married my Myers connection in Walker Co., Ala. 1820 Warren Co., Ga.: Williams Cotton, this was another connection to the Williams line. His son married Mary Mahan's sister. James, Philip again and a William James. All of the above people were either connected to or on the 1850 Coosa Co., Ala. census. The James and my line of Williams, which was John Milton Williams, son of John H. and Mary Mahan went to Prentiss Co., Miss. and then into Conway Co., Ark. Another son of John H. Wms., James moved to Henderson Co., Tex. It's believed this entire line of Williams possibly began as Quakers in Northampton Co., Va.(N.C.) .
sorry Mr. Williams - I see that your father's name was Noah also. La Nere Williams
Mr. Williams, You didn't say what your father's name was or where he was born. Do you know that? Also what year were you born and where? Would like to help you. I know how hard this is. La Nere C. Williams

The following new message has been added to the Williams Genealogy Forums, on the Williams Genealogy board under the existing topic of Re: John C Williams and Francis Robinson from South Carolina... -------------------------------- Hi, I've been tracing what is probably a second couple named John C. Williams with wife Frances who I think may be connected to my family. I've been looking at John C. Williams (born about 1815 in GA) married to Francis Mann? (born about 1820 in NC). There are many similarities to your couple. They show up in Fayette County, GA in 1840 in Captain Simm's District where John C. Williams (age 20-30) is in a household with a young male (age 0-5), a female (age 20-30), and a male slave (24-36). Marriage records for Fayette County record a John C. Williams married Francis Mann on June 2, 1839. In 1850, they are in Paulding County, GA: John C. Williams (age 34) a farmer born in GA, Francis (age 30) born in NC, Jonathan (age 10) born GA, Mary F. (age 8 ) born GA, Martha (age 6) born GA, and Green M. (age 1) born GA. They are right next door to a widow Mary Williams (age 51) born SC who appears in 1860 Carroll County, GA with my Gr-Gr-Grandfather Edward Williams (1820-1905) and Gr-Grandfather Isaac (1845-1910) who were apparently boarding with her family. Mary has in her household Mary (age 21), Thomas (age 19), Grun (Green? age 16), and Elizabeth Jane (age 13) - all born in Georgia. In 1860, John C. (age 45) is found in nearby Polk County, GA with Frances (age 43), Jonathan D. (age 19), Mary (age 17), Martha (age 15), Green M. (age 10), Sarah E. (age ?), John L. (age 4), and Thomas R. (age ?). In 1870, they are still in Polk County: John C. (age 54) is in household with Frances (age 52), Martha (age 22), Green (age 20), Sarah (age 17), John (age 14), Rufus (age 10), and James M. (age 8 ). I did check Henry County, AL and in 1860 found as you noted John C. (age 59) with Frances (age 60), with John Jr. (age 14). They are there in 1870: John C. (age 47), Frances (age 59), and a female (age 28) in a household headed by a name I can't read Sarah A. ? (age 30), Moses (age 7), and a girl (age 1), Catherine (age 28). Perhaps these are relatives. So I guess, despite many similarities, your Williams couple in Alabama is probably not the same as the one I am tracing in Georgia. But the similarities are such that we might want to keep in touch and be on the lookout for any other connections. I'm not even sure of the connection between this John C. and Frances and the widow Mary and the connection between Mary and my Edward, but I'm chasing this down because it is my best lead. I'm also checking to see if this John C., and widow Mary are connected at all to Thomas Williams and Rebecca Steed (from Randolph County, NC) who moved from NC to SC and then on to GA ending up in Fayette County, GA. My DNA tests (Group 22) connect me to a Randolph County, NC Williams line.

Joseph John Williams (1737-1818) and wife Elizabeth Matildan Alston (1753-?). I don't know WHO this Catherine married...so have no idea of she is a match for yours. I'm afriad I am unable to match anything on your John C. Williams. I DO HAVE some files for Lewis Williams, son of John Williams (1615-1586) and wife Ann Moore. Lewis (abt 1657-1 Oct 1716 in Chowan Co., NC) married Mary Walburton (daughter or Robert Walburton), probably about 1674. His children I have are: Anthony m. Martha Bush, Daughter m. Jones, Margaret or Martha m. Richard Sowell, Daughter m. Patchett, William, Priscilla m. Peter West, Elizabeth m. James Rutland and Rowland. Both Anthony and William have sons named John. But I have little beyond that. Sorry, not much help. Gerri
