I have a brick wall. I am trying to locate on the 1870 Census for Scott County, or possibly an adjoining county, any information concerning Hezekiah Williams and his wife Mary Ann (Harris). Because of a family tale and suspecting them to be the Grandparents of the children I will be mentioning, I need to find out if there is a listing for any of the following children living with Williams in this area: William F. Williams born Abt 1862 Evansville IN Vicie (Victoria ?) Williams born abt 1864 IN John L. Williams born 1866 (living with Sands family, 1880 Census Scott Co, Vienna Twp, IN) And one other child (possible Joseph) Their mother was Sarah Jane Williams. The father, name not yet determined between George F. Williams or Francis Marion Williams, died in 1867, location unknown. The family story is that the children went to live with the paternal grandparents. Also, there is a listing for a Mrs. Sarah Jane Williams (aunt) in the cemetery records of Vanderburgh County, IN, Calvert Chapel Cemetery. She is buried next to a Julia A. Williams, wife of James Williams. I would like to know if anyone is related to this Sarah Jane Williams, what her relation was to James and Julia Williams. I have found a James Williams buried with another wife next to John L. Williams, listed above in Scott Co., IN. Please write me if you see any connection at medough@aol.com. Mary
