This may help someone climb over a brick wall: At a court held 25 May 1761: [Prince William Co., VA] p. 266 Charles Williams orphan of George Williams by the consent of his mother Jane Williams and with the approbation of the Court acknowledged an indenture to Elijah Wickliff. ("Prince William County, Virginia Order Book 1759-1761," in THE VIRGINIA GENEALOGIST, Vol. 22 (1978), p. 305) Question: If any of you have information about the Wickliff family of Prince William Co. and other Northern Neck counties of Virginia, please drop me an e-mail. A collateral - Daniel Kincheloe of that county and time period -- reportedly married two women with the surname Wickliffe [variant spellings]. I suspect one of the ladies was a widow.
