Hello, I am looking to connect with descendants and researchers of the DOLLARHIDE - WHITE - WILLIAMS family group that was in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana in the early 1800s. I would very much like to find out if anyone has any corroborating evidence that the Elizabeth WHITE, born: bef. 1817 in Catahoula Parish, who was the daughter of Sarah "Sally" DOLLARHIDE and Martin D. WHITE as shown further below, and who married William WILLIAMS, are my maternal great grandparents as it would appear that they are. Relatively new information leads me to believe that my maternal lineage descends from this family through my maternal grandfather, Louis Hector "Hec" SLAUGHTER, born: February 14, 1869 in/near Liddieville, Franklin Parish, Louisiana, son of Hudson H. SLAUGHTER, born: March 13, 1844 in Greene/Pickens County, Alabama, and wife, Claranda "Clara" WILLIAMS, born: bef./abt. 1840 probably in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana right before the family moved to Franklin Parish, Louisiana. Claranda "Clara" WILLIAMS was the daughter of William WILLIAMS, born: abt. 1790 in Maryland, and his wife, Elizabeth ?, whom I have just come to believe is the Elizabeth WHITE, born: bef. 1817 in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana, died: ??, and married William WILLIAMS in 1837 in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. According to the information that I have seen Elizabeth WHITE was the daughter of Martin D. WHITE, born: April 17, 1795 in Louisiana, died: March 11, 1851 in Trinity County, Texas, who fought in the Battle of San Jacinto, and his wife, Sarah "Sally" DOLLARHIDE, born: July 27, 1797 in Pulaski County, Kentucky, died: November 30, 1852 in Alabama Creek, Trinity County, Texas, married 1816 in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana, who was the daughter of Youthan/Eutha Ann WILLIAMS, born: bet. 1760-1770, (daughter of Mary ? and William WILLIAMS, born: bet. 1730-1737 in Marion County, Indiana, (would imagine there is a connection with the other William WILLIAMS who married Elizabeth WHITE but don't know what that is,) and Youthan/Eutha Ann WILLIAMS' husband, Asahel "Asa" DOLLARHIDE, born: January 17, 1745 in Caswell County, North Carolina, died: October 28, 1856 in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, and Youthan/Eutha Ann and Asashel "Asa" married about 1795 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Asahel "Asa" DOLLARHIDE, according to the information that I have seen was the son of Nancy CHITTINGTON, born: 1747 in North Carolina, died: 1849 in Diboll, Angelina County, Texas, and John DOLLARHIDE, born: 1751, died: 1853 in Diboll, Angelina County, Texas. My maternal 2nd great grandmother, Elizabeth ?, and her husband, William WILLIAMS, born: abt. 1790 in Maryland, were the parents of children: John "Jim" WILLIAMS, born: 1825 ....md: Elizabeth ROBERTS Margaret WILLIAMS, born: 1826 ....md: Daniel P.
