Carl, Yes it is the same family, I think Jesse may be listed as "John" in her book, he was born in 1813, I have never found anything with his name listed as John. he had a brother William Carroll Williams m Elizabeth H. Bennett, and sisters, Nancy Williams m George W. Bennett, and Mary Margaret who m Martin Carroll Jadwin, there are more children, but i've not been able to find their names, and no parents or siblings for David. The Vanhooser's are pretty well documented, but nothing on the Williams side. The Williams children migrated to St. Francois Co. Mo, with the William Bennett/Jane Vanatta (parents of Elizabeth H.) Jesse and sister, Nancy, stayed a few yeras, then went on to Van Buren Co. Ark. sister Mary Margaret Jadwin went to Dent/Texas Co. Mo. Does Joyce's book say where she got the information his name was John? may of been John Jesse, or Jesse John?? Jesse had sons John M.b. abt. 1844 Dekalb Co. Tn., David Richardson 1845 Tn. (my line), William Claibourn 1857 Mo. George W. 1860 Ark. and Jesse M. 1864 Ark. 3 daughters Sarah E., Nancy J. and Mary C.
