    1. [WILLIAMS] Martha Wilmouth Williams-VA-1800's
    2. I have a Martha W. Williams from Pittsylvania County VA and the "W" COULD stand for Wilmoth, her grandmother's name. My 4th greatgrandparents were William & Lucy Terry Williams of Pittsylvania County VA. Their son (my 3rd gt. grandfather) James Mastin Williams (1763-1838) married Wilmoth Walker in 1784. One of their 14 children, James Mastin Williams Jr. (1802-1864) m. Ann Elsa Motley in 1820.... One of the children of Ann Elsa Motley Williams & James Mastin Williams jr. was: "Martha W." Several children throughout this line were given the name 'Wilmoth'. My source is my 3rd gt.grandmother's will (Wilmoth Walker Williams) dated April 1850 which mentions her son James Mastin Williams Jr. and James' daughter Martha W. Williams. I have much on this lineage including info on James & Wilmoth's son John who married Elizabeth Wooding and moved to Louisiana. But that is all I have on Martha W. so far. ~Jane
