I do think that your Martha Wilmouth Williams probably WAS the dau. of James Mastin Williams/Ann Elsa Motley. I'll have to dig through my notes to see what I have on the Shelton connection. The one problem I have though, is your "Mary Elizabeth D. Williams" being the sister of Martha W. The date is okay (1821) as James Mastin Wms. Jr. & Ann Elsa Motley were married in May, 1820. But in the will of James' mother, Wilmoth Walker Williams, she specifically mentions her grandchildren "children of my son James M Williams-James M. Williams, Martha W. Williams, Alice Williams, Mary Lemuel Williams, William D Williams, under 21". My research is slow (as time allows) but ongoing and I will certainly keep you posted.
