Dear list, I am following with a request from a fellow journalist - I seem to remember someone stating they had Mayflower roots. If someone could help her out with this request for ethnic connections to the Mayflower by Oct. 4th (she has a rush deadline and will not be able to use anything past that date) it would be great. She's a lovely lady. Please respond to her directly. Thanks so much. Rosie I'm doing a rush (by Friday) research job for a national magazine. They want to run a Thanksgiving Day cover showing a mix of people of many races who are descended from the passengers who arrived on Mayflower. (They can include people who are related by marriage.) I'll need to find the people, confirm that they're willing to be photographed for the cover, briefly pre-interview them to get a single, short quote (something along the lines of what Thanksgiving means to me or what it means to be an American this Thanksgiving), and of course get their permission to use their names and cities in the photo caption. Any ideas where or how I could find African-American, Asian, Indian (as in from India), or other non-Caucasian descendants (including descendants-by-marriage --- a person who married someone who was a descendant) of Mayflower passengers? << Reply to: Peggy at PJNoonan@aol.com
