This is my second Williams "brick wall." Samuel Williams was the father of John Williams. The date of Samuel's birth is unknown. Samuel was living in Washington parish, LA in the 1820 census. His wife was Betsy Damerel. The date of their marriage is unknown. Their son John Williams was born between 1770-1780 in LA, probably Washington parish. John Williams married Julia Roy, daughter of Auguste Roy, Sr. and Marianne Moron in 1806 in Ouachita parish, LA. John died in 1835. Samuel Williams and Betsy Damerel probably had other children, but they are unknown to me. Any information on this Samuel Williams would be appreciated.
