Thanks to Debi (debip@bellsouth.net) who recommended census-online.com, I saw James Mastin Williams & family there in the 1850 census a while ago. But - your Elizabeth was born 1821. This Elizabeth was born 1849 or so. Plus - James & Elsa were married in 1820 but in the 1850 census their oldest child listed wasn't born until about 1838. Not likely a couple would have to wait THAT long. There must have been other earlier children who were grown & gone by 1850. So we're back to the original question mark. Hmmmm...
