My ancestor is William Washington Williams, born 1860 in Tennessee died 1922, who married Martha Anne Martin June 12, 1877 in Knox County, TN. They had 2 children, Amanda Williams, born August 1880, and Edward James Williams, Born July 1881. Amanda married Oliver Rhodes in Knox Co. TN. July 13 1896 and adopted one child, Dorothy "Doll" Rhodes (May 4 1896) and had one daughter, Helen. Edward James Williams married twice - first to Mary (Lora Belle) Cox, then to Lucy Alley. Edward and Mary had several children - Flossie Williams born 1901, Claude born 1903, Oliver born 1905, and Baxter born 1907 (my grandfather). Edward and Lucy had a child Edna May, born 1914, Thomas born 1918, Martha Ann born 1919, Edward M. born 1922, Betty Jane born 1926 and Benjamin born 1928. Edward died of cancer in 1929 and some of his children were raised by his sister Amanda. I have no idea who William Washington Williams parent's were and would love to find out. He had their birth states listed as Virginia in the Knox County, TN 1900 census information but that is all I can find so far. Any help would be most appreciated. Suzanne Pratt
