My brickwall: Family legend says the Williams' family originated in New York and migrated down the Ohio River on flatboats. Francis Williams Birth: unknown Died: July 1813, Knox County, IN. He helped supply Fort Knox in Vincennes,IN. (documented) Will probated in August, 1813 (I have a copy) Abagail Unknown, wife Birth: unknown Death: After the death of Francis, she married Edward Purcell (neighbor), in 1814. Abigail, had 3 boys with Edward Purcell and was living with her daughter Jane at the time of her death (per census) in Greene Cty, IN. Her maiden name might be Padget. Children of Francis and Abagail (per bequests in his will): Betsey Williams (dates not known) Clarry Williams (dates not known) perhaps married Unknown Hazelton Daniel Williams (dates not known) Deborah Williams (dates not known) John Williams (dates not known) Francis Williams (1803-1823) Williams Francis Williams (1803-1882) married Mary "Polly" Padgett (1805-1871) Jane Williams (1805-1871) married Josiah Carrico (1803-1882) Abagail Williams (1810-Unknown) married Jacob Fry (1800-unknown) William F. Williams (Billy) born 1803, Fort Knox, is my line. I have lots and lots of information on his HUGE (12 children living to adulthood) family. They scattered into Illinois (and beyond) and moved from Knox > Sullivan > Greene > Owen counties in Indiana. Pam
