I am still hoping to find information on my great grandparents, who were Joseph and Josie or Johanna (WALLS) WILLIAMS they lived in Missouri beginning as early as 1876 in the area that is today Miller Cole Counties. Here is a list of their eleven children including my grandmother. I have also included a bit of the information I have on each individual that was passed to me in the form of "family history" several years ago. Randall David WILLIAMS born June 16, 1876 Miller County County. Family lore says that in adulthood he moved to the Saint Louis area where he worked on the river, but have little information on him. My records do say he married Maud HENDERSON and that they had two children. Edith, who died in her teens and Clarence. My records show Randall died in 1939, but no further information. Robert Monroe WILLIAMS born Auguest 20, 1881 at Ironton, Missouri. Married Elizabeth FIELDS on November 18, 1915 in Wymore, Nebraska. Died August 8, 1958 Fort Bragg, California. Henry WILLIAMS born August 16, 1885. He died in 1960 and is buried in Lyndsburg, Kansas. Jane Barbara (WILLIAMS) born November 1, 1886. Married Ernest Albert SIMHIESER. She died in 1950. Note: E. SIMHEISER is listed as the informant on great grandfahter Jospeh's WILLIAMS' death certificate in 1923 and his address is shown as Eugene. Dolly Mae (WILLIAMS) born March 22, 1889 in Miller County, Missouri. Married William FELTROPE (born August 10, 1884) on March 21, 1910. Dolly died in 1972. Thomas Barney WILLIAMS born May 31, 1891 at Eugene, Missouri. Married Dolly Helen Chown (born March 25, 1897) on April 16, 1915 at Pawnee City, Nebraska. Tom died on August 31, 1968 Lexington WILLIAMS born September 1892. Died in 1967. First wife was Maggie M. O'ROURKE (born 1900, she died in 1946) Second wife was Lorretta (born 1892, died in 1962) My records show they are both burried at Eugene, Missouri. John WILLIAMS born April 5, 1895 at Eugene, Missouri. He died at the age of 21 when run over by a train in 1915. I have always wondered if I could find a newspaper account of his death. Emma Lou WILLIAMS. My maternal grandmother. born December 31, 1898 at Eugene. Died June 3, 1982 at Longmont, Colorado, buried in Nebraska City, NE First marriage to Charlie COE after his death she married Bryan T. COE ( yes they were brothers) Bryan is my maternal grandfather. Grandma gave birth to a total of ten children, eight lived to adulthood. Minnie Mary WILLIAMS born May 22, 1900. Married Alexander KEMBEL (Born June 27, 1894) on September 27, 1919 at Broken Bow, NE He died August 11, 1967. Her second marriage to Sidney BROWN in 1971 ended in divorce. I do not have a death date for Minnie, but believe she is burried in Canada. She has a daughter that lives in Sask.. Ada Belle WILLIAMS born March 3, 1902. Married Archie MORROW, who had two sons from a previous marriage. It is believed she and Archie had five children. No death or burial information. I am sure this is more information than many were probably interested in, but I now I have it written and will post it to a few bulletin boards in hopes someone can help me locate more information on these persons. I am especially tryng to locate newpaper obits for the parents of these above mentioned. Joseph WILLIAMS who died June 23, 1923 and is buried in Gageville Cemetery in Miller County, Missouri. My research shows he was born in Ripley County, Indiana in 1842 to Henry and Barbara (CLAPP) WILLIAMS. Josie or Johanna (WALLS) WILLIAMS. Her birth and death information is unertain, but am quite sure she was born in the area of Miler/Cole Counties in Missouri and is also burried in Gageville Cemetery. Thanks for reading all this.
