About ten years ago, there was posted a query in The Virginia Genealogist, Vol. 36, p. 239, about the above-named couple and a question about the parents of Rev. John Williams. The parents of John Williams (one of many cousins who bore the same name) were Joseph Williams of colonial Lunenburg Co., VA, later of Elbert Co., GA (where he died testate) and his wife Henrietta nee Jouett (daughter of Matthew Jouett of colonial Hanover Co.). John established the Meherrin Baptist Church and apparently remained in Virginia. Rev. John's children, as listed in the query, were Robert, Matthew Jouett, Frances, Joseph, David Hughes, Henrietta (m. Thompson), Ann (m. Carrington), Martha, Narcissa, Susanna. Does anyone have any source material and dates on these children? Can you guide me in my research efforts? E.W.Wallace
