Asentha Williams marrried Oliver Cromwell Woodcock in New York state about 1797 or before. Family tradition says she was direct line to Roger Williams of Rhode Island. Can anyone out there help me prove this line? Bob Trapp Bob, Do you have any other information to help out, birth and death dates or who her parents were? I don't have her in either of my books, Descendants of Roger Williams the Hart line (Freeborn's line) or the Waterman & Winsor lines (Mercy's line). Another book is due out soon, the Sayles line (Mary's Line). Two more books on the lines of theh two sons that had children, Daniel and Joseph and being written now. Their other son Providence never married or had children. All theses books are published by the Roger Williams Family Association, which has a website at http://www.rogerwilliams.org. A four or five descendants chart was to be put there soon, but the last time I checked it wasn't up yet. But keep checking becuase it shouldn't be much longer. You might send off a note to the registrar and ask if they know anything about her. But give her as much information as possible. Many of Roger Williams descendants left for New York state after the Revolutionary War founding sections of Chenango County among others, as did Greenes, Rhodes, and many other early Rhode Island families. Good luck! And happy hunting! Trish Harmon Rhode Island
