My gg grandfather was James R. Williams, born 1829 in NC. I have seen an IGI on LDS of a James R. born in Edgecombe Co., also a John Williams born in 1819, I think they are connected. The first documented record of James R. is in Knox Co., TN in the 1860 census, pg. 64, h/h 193. He married a Nancy unknown, when and where unknown. In 1880 census he is in Loudon Co., TN. Do not have a death date or place.
