    1. Re: [WILLIAMS] Re WILLIAMS
    2. Jana and Lila, When you get to the following in 1880 Dade County, MO South Township, page 154D: Thomas Williams Self MMW 69 TN TN TN Frankey Williams Wife FMW 69 TN VAVA They are mine, but don't have any Williams cousins bearing that surname in the area. They were born in Cocke Co TN. Her surname is MURRELL. InDade County, their daughters are married to Seaburn Copeland, Benjamin Marsh and Henry Lawson Guffey (none of whom are from Cocke Co). His father was James Williams who died in Oct-Nov 1842 in Moniteau Co (formerly Cole) Missouri. His mother was Susanna last name unk, who died in 1850 in Moniteau Co. They had eleven children, all of whom migrated with their spouses and families to Moniteau (Cole) between 1837 and 1842. Most stayed in the area. I don't know the parents of James Williams b. 1780-1790 in TN. It could be either another James, Thomas or Joseph (top choices). Cocke Co is burned. You might consider joining the Lawrence Co list. There are folks there who have studied the early Williams families...."Molawren" It is a very active and very good list. Good Luck!
