Bob Forney: In Maud Carter Clements History of Pittsylvania County, Virginia there is a William Williams in Pittsyvania County in the right time frame who had a son William Mastain Williams. There is a Nancy Safewright daughter of Zacariah mentioned in some genealogical records online. The 1790 Pittsylvania Co, VA Census has a Safewright. So this does look like a good place to look.
