James Attwood Williams, of sd county and state, for 90 pounds sterling, in hand paid by John Williams, Jr., for sundry slaves, namely: Old negro woman 'Sarah", with male child "John", negro woman "Flora". 6 Dec 1789. Wit. John Owen, richard Groom. Signed James A. Williams. Before Thos. Wadsworth, Esq., one of the Judges of sd county, Richard Groom deposeth that he saw James A. Williams assign the within instrument and John Owen as witness. 25 Jany. 1792. //State of S. C., Laurens Co. Clerk's Office. 2 Feb. 1792 The within bill of sale is recorded in Book D. pp. 100-101, and examined by Lewis Saxon, Clk. Who is James Attwood Williams of Laurens County SC. who removed to MS?
