I am trying to find out what happened to my great great Grandfather Isaac "Ike" Williams (born 1828) who was shot in Mayfield, Graves Co., Kentucky. He had a plantation near Water Valley and his wife Sarah Jane Norman Williams sold the property after he was shot and took a covered wagon with the children to Missouri - Howell County. There she farmed with her son Jefferson Providence Williams. Isaac "Ike" Williams died 3 Jan 1862. I do not know where he was buried. Can't find him in the online cemeteries of that area. I checked Civil War soldiers and can't find him there either. Isaac's son Joseph (Josiah) Hardin Williams was my great grandfather. He was marrie to Adeline Susan Dawson Williams. Josiah and Susan's son Bert Thomas Williams was my grandfather. Harley Glen Williams, my father, was the son of Bert Thomas Williams and Elsie Grace Oaks Williams. Any help would be appreciated.
