It would be wonderful to meet my great-grandmother who was gone before my time. And I'm sure my father, who is still alive and kicking, would like to see his grandmother again. And while we're at it let's bring her husband Edward Jones Washburn back who was gone even before my father's time. Well, let's have a look at them. Here they are! The first one (http://www.feliixplace.com/familypics/000032.jpg) is Alice and daughter Evangeline who was age 1 so the photo would have been taken in 1896. The next one (http://www.feliixplace.com/familypics/000037.jpg) is Alice by herself. The hand writing on the back says "Alice E. Washburn Madison Maine" so it would be 1891 or later. Maybe a wedding picture? Finally here's ole Edward himself (http://www.feliixplace.com/familypics/000111.jpg) maybe taken around the same time as Alice' pic. Happy Thanksgiving to all. David

    3. That's an easy one: I'd have my gg-grandfather Elijah Williams over for dinner, ask him where the heck in North Carolina he was born 17 November 1790, ask him if he had any other siblings than the three we know of, and ask him the biggie: "Who were you parents and where did they come from?" As I withhold the turkey and dressing until he answers, I'll explain to him that three generations of descendants of this family have been trying to get these pieces of information since the 1920s. The 215th anniversary of Elijah's birth falls exactly one week before Thanksgiving, so I'd be willing to cut him some slack after he answers those questions...he's bound to be a little tired. --Hughes Williams http://www.relatedlines.com/ ----Original Message Follows---- From: Carol C-H <[email protected]> Reply-To: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: [WILLIAMS] LISTOWNER POST - Thanksgiving Dinner Date: Mon, 07 Nov 2005 21:02:14 -0600 Those of us in the USA will soon be celebrating Thanksgiving. 3. I would have to invite Morgan Williams who is my ggrandma's dad. I know nothing concrete on him other than he was born in Wales. My ggrandma was born in PA in 1861 and is buried in Ivywood, Butler Co., Pa. Morgan Williams shows up in the history of Pa. when his daughter Jennie married Charles Wesley Morrison, no mention of a wife. I know he had another daughter named : Mary, Sadie (dont know if this was a nickname or not),and 3 sons that were listed in my ggrandma's obit. Happy Thanksgiving to all Mary ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol C-H" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, November 07, 2005 8:02 PM Subject: [WILLIAMS] LISTOWNER POST - Thanksgiving Dinner > Those of us in the USA will soon be celebrating Thanksgiving.
