It would be a wonderful Thanksgiving if I could invite my "almost" cousin Connie from Iowa and both of our great-great-grandfather's who are named Swain O. Williams. My Swain O. was born 1809 in Caldwell, Essex Co. NJ who married Mary Myrinda Doud 1832 in Pennsylvania. My great-grandfather Freeman S. was his son. Connie's Swain O. Williams was also born NJ but in 1816. He married 1. Phoebe Peffer (b. 1812 in NJ and died Licking Co. Ohio in 1851). In 1852 he married Mary Ann Philbrook (b. 1825 Ohio, died 1906 Indiana). Their daughter Rosa Williams was Connie's great grandmother. Our grandfather's have a similar look and we're pretty sure we are related so would relish a good family discussion with our great -great grandfathers to see if they know the answers. Connie's ancestor was a Williams daughter, so DNA probably wouldn't help. Donna Williams Kentch
