Hi. Since John Williams are up for location searches , I'd like to throw my two Johns into the pot. 1. John E. (no clue what the E. stands for), born May 1861 in: Alton, Madison, IL or Danville, Vermilion, IL. 2. Coal miner and lived in Alton, IL, Audrain County, MO; Danville, Vermilion, IL: and Worden, Madison, IL. 3. John D. (possibly Daniel) Williams, father of John E. Williams, living in either Greene, Jersey, or Madison County in the early 1880s, possibly Alton. I wish I could tell you more. I would love to hear from anyone researching Williams in Illinois. Thanks, Myra
