    3. My Thanksgiving Day question for my ancestor Phillip Williams and his son, Daniel Motley Hundley Williams would be......Why are your children's named alais Hundley's in your "will"?? Are Judith and Mary your wives related some have said they were sisters but we are not sure.... I just sent this email to someone researching my line of Williams and thought I'd post it here for those of you who might need it...........I have this Phillip Williams married to second Judith Hundley and first Mary Motley....Can anyone tell me if they have a copy of the original will and either marriage bond. I would love to have a copy ... Happy Thanksgiving to my Williams Cousins, Marsha Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY (old Green Co., KY) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------- .I have Phillip Williams md to Judith Hundley in Amelia Co. VA children, Daniel Motley Hundley Williams, Martha Hundley Williams, Frances Hundley Williams, Josiah Hundley Williams md to Judith Elmore in Amelia Co., Warner Hundley Williams and my Letitia Williams Here is my ancestor Phillip's "Will" 4 Jan 1785: THE LAST WILL & TESTAMENT OF PHILIP WILLIAMS SR. [ In the name of God Amen I Philip Williams Senior of the Parish of Nottoway and the County of Amelia now in perfect health sensis[sic] and memory, do make and constitute this my Last Will & Testament as follows that is to say first and Principally I command my soul into the hands of the Almighty God hoping to receive free forgiveness and Pardon for all my sins committed here on Earth and secondly I leave my body to the discretion of my Executors hereafter named to be decently buried, and as Touching my worldly Estate I give in manner and form following (Viz.) I give and bequeath unto my son PHILIP WILLIAMS Two hundred and Thirty Acres of Land and one negro George and one named Toney which he hath already in his Possession. I give to my daughter ELIZABETH VAUGHN and her Heirs forever a negro boy which she now has in Possession named Ralph. I give to the Heirs of my deceased daughter MARY MOTLEY a negro woman named Betty which is now in their possession and also her future increase I give to my daughter LETITIS[sic] ELMORE and her Heirs forever a negro Girl named Lyddia and all her future Increase also a negroe boy named Ned and a Feather bed and Furniture which she hath already in Possession. I give to my daughter MARTHA WILLIAMS ALIAS HUNDLEY & her Heirs forever a negro Girl named Rachel with all her Future Increase, also a negro boy named Caesar called John and a Feather bed and Furniture. I give to my daughter FRANCES WILLIAMS ALIAS HUNDLEY & her heirs forever a negro Girl named Sall and all her Future Increase also a negro boy named Jasper and a Feather bed and Furniture And Provided either of my two Daughters last mentioned should die leaving no lawful Heir the Part of the Estate given her by me I give to the other surviving sister and her heirs forever I give my son JOSIAH WILLIAMS ALIAS HUNDLEY and his Heirs forever the Tract of Land whereon I now live containing Three hundred and Twenty Four Acres more or Less. I give to my son DANIEL WILLIAMS ALIAS HUNDLEY and his heirs forever the tract of land I Purchased of John Doaren[Dearin] I give to my son WARNER WILLIAMS ALIAS HUNDLEY and his Heirs forever Two Hundred Pounds cash to be raised out of my Estate not before Given And the remaining Part of my Estate not before given I Give to be Equally divided between my three sons last mentioned and Provided either of my said Three sons should die leaving no lawful Heir of their body that Part of Estate given them by me I give to be Equally Divided among the Surviving brothers and their Heirs forever And I do hereby Constitute nominate and appoint my son Philip Williams, Joel Motley and John Beadle executors to this my last Will and Testament as Witness my hand and Seal the Fourteen day of January in the year of our Lord Christ One thousand seven hundred and Eighty five. Jun 1787: Inventory & Appraisal of Philip Sr.'s estate, totaling L817+ 01 Sep 1788: Josiah Williams sued. Philip Williams Jr., Joel Motley (as excrs. of the estate of Philip Williams Sr.,) and Thomas Elmore (as gdn of Daniel & Warner Williams orphans of Philip Sr.) for division of the estate. A commission was appointed to divide the estate according to the residuary clause and make final report to the court 21 July 1790 Josiah Williams rec'd. 4 negroes, Dick, Lander & child, and Poll, in settlement of his father's estate; Daniel allotted three negroes James, Sam & David; Warner Williams allotted four negroes Harry, Bobb, Peter & Harod[Herrod] 22 Mar 1792 Final report by cmmsnrs on the estate of Philip Williams Sr.
