I also have AWOL ancestors in Pickens County. They all appear for the first time in the 1860 census. Henderson G. Williams, born April 22, 1832, in NC (Tombstone / Bible record). Wife Elizabeth Robinson, born March 23, 1835, in MS (Tombstone / census records). In 1860 they are already married with three small sons. I have been unable to locate a marriage record for them or either listed in the 1850 census. Children: Andrew Jackson Williams (1854), Benjamin Franklin Williams (1856), Jerome Napoleon Williams (1859), Lilly Williams (1860), Robert Williams (1862), Mary Williams (1865), Alice Cora Williams (1871). The Williams family migrated to Texas in 1883. Andrew Jackson married Arazella H. Ferguson - they are my great-grandparents. Ewell Crawford Ferguson, born 1832-1836 (census records). Wife Elsay / Dicey / Elsie ?? In 1860, they already married with four children. I have been unable to locate him in the 1850 census. Since I do not have a surname for her, I have no idea how to find her. He is possibly Emmett C. Ferguson listed in the 1850 census, son of Mary Ferguson. Children: Alice Ferguson (1852), Arazella Haseltine Ferguson (1853), John W. Ferguson (1855), James H. Ferguson (1858), Harriett Ferguson (1862), Mary J. Ferguson (1864). Except for Arazella, I have been unable to determine what happened to the Ferguson siblings. Larry Wilson
