    3. Sorry, I can't help on this, but the family names sound familiar. My roadblock is John M or N Williams, born 8-17-1785, Warren County, NC, Died 8-27-1862, Marshall County, Mississippi. The 1850 census records that he was a bricklayer. He probably came to Mississippi about 1842, from Anson Co, NC. Wife's name believed to be Olive or Olivia. His sons were William J Williams (b 1-21-1813 in NC), Joseph John Williams (b in 1-8-1815, Anson Co,NC, and James Williams (b about 1828 in NC). All 3 of these sons migrated to Mississippi. Family names used over the years are Sarah, Mary, Jane, Elizabeth, Olive, Samuel, John, Joseph, William, Thomas, and Dudley, and they were all Baptists or Methodists. If this line sounds familiar to any of you researching folks, I would greatly appreciate a NC "tie-in." I have searched all of the wills and birth records that I can access. I can supply plenty of info on the Mississippi and Texas Williams families descended from this line. Thanks, T.
