Tompkins County, Ithaca, New York Samuel WILLIAMS, b. 1814 Betsey (née HILL) Williams,wife, b. 1822 CHILDREN: -Mary Jane (aka "Minnie"), b. 1839, unmarried. -Stephen T., b. 1841, m. an Egan from Ireland -Elizabeth A., b. 1843, m. 1)a Minton, 2)a Mitchell -Almira,(or Almirah), daughter, b. 1846; married? died young? -Cynthia Louise (aka "Louisa"), b. 1848, unmarried. -William Wallace Barden, b. 1850, m. a Humiston -Charles Hill, b. 1854, m. a Mitchell Birth dates are approximate.All born in NY State. Samuel Williams *possibly* born in Caroline, NY (Tioga/Tompkins County) or lived there prior to Ithaca, NY. Parents b. NY State. Samuel died 1854/1855 in a railroad accident. Place of death unknown; burial place unknown. His wife was Betsey HILL. Her parents were Heman and Mary HILL. Acc. to census, Heman from VT and Mary was from NH. They had lived in Caroline, NY. I do not know what became of them. I have requested many documents and can't locate names of his parents. The historical society in Ithaca can not locate anything either. The Last Wills of some of these Williams are missing from the Surrogate Courthouse in Ithaca. I have tried searching through in-law documents and can find no information on Samuel.
