    3. Hi, Ellen. Thanks for writing and thanks for the 1786 census. Ralph WILLIAMS m. Ann Potter WALKER, daughter of John WALKER and Ann POTTER. His parents were probably Ralph WILLIAMS and an Unknown BOSWELL, but I know nothing about them. Ralph was born abt. 1735 and died abt. 1806. His wife Ann born about 1755. They married 27 Aug 1778 in Granville. There is a great deal of speculation about the number of children born to the couple, but the following names seem very likely: Robert, Mary, Stephen, Elizabeth, Martha, and Susan. Some argue that there were many more children than this. (Elizabeth WILLIAMS is my fourth great grandmother.) walt boswell [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, October 04, 2005 11:31 PM Subject: Re: [WILLIAMS] Williams of Granville Co., NC > Walt, I'm not sure if this is Ralph and Ann Potter Williams, but the 1786 > Census for the Granville Co. district of "Nap of Reeds" lists: > > Ralph Williams > 1 - WM 21-60 yrs. > 3 - WM under 21 and above 60 > 3 - WF all ages > > Do you know who Ralph's father was? > > Ellen > > > > > ==== WILLIAMS Mailing List ==== > List web page: http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/surname/w/williams.html > Genealogy Links - http://www2.netdoor.com/~cch/GEN-links.htm > > ============================== > Search Family and Local Histories for stories about your family and the > areas they lived.
