Deloris, Here is some information on my ggg/gf, William Williams, who died in 1813 in Granville Co., NC: 1. His wife (my ggg/gm) was NANCY HAISLIP -- she died in 1796 in Granville. - Their children were: Henry, Daniel, Varnold, James (my gg/gf), William, John, Lucy, Ann and Sarah 2. WILLIAM (Sr.) - did not have a Will. He died Intestate, but there are several court records covering the disposition of his estate, during 1813 and 1814. 3. SARAH PEACE, was WILLIAM's second wife. They married in 1798 in Granville. - Their children were: Joseph and Jane (Jincy). A few years after WILLIAM's death, SARAH moved to Weakley Co., TN., to be close to their two children and other family members who had moved to west Tennessee and southern KY. 4. Our main problem is that we don't know anything about the parents and siblings of both WILLIAM WILLIAMS and his wife, NANCY HAISLIP. From Deeds, we know that they lived in the Fishing Creek District of Granville. Their property was on both sides of the Tar River and Little Creek. So far, I haven't found a location on a map that shows where these two bodies of water come fairly close together. As far as PHILLIP/PHILIP WILLIAMS is concerned -- there is a marriage record in Warren County, NC, where a Philip Williams and Polly Worsham were married 14 Feb 1799. We don't know that this PHILIP is kin. It so happens that "our" HENRY WILLIAMS (WILLIAM's son), also married in Warren County (not Granville), on 12 Nov 1799, to Polly Wilson. We're just trying to find out if PHILIP could possibly be a cousin, or some relation to our HENRY. We have found a notation on some old family papers of an "Uncle Philip" who lived in Virginia around 1840-l850. Thank you so much, Deloris, for your time, and for any help and suggestions you may have. Ellen
