    3. Andy, Much of the Warren Co.NC Williams history is intermingled with that of the Alston families of the same area, including that of old Edgecombe County. There is a book that was written years ago called something like "The Alston & Allston families of North Carolina & South Carolina", and it has quite a good lineage of the families. It may be available at libraries, and I've seen parts of it online, and I also believe it may be one of the books on Heritage Quest and Ancestry.com, I'm not sure. Also you may want to try a Google search for the name of the book or individual because there are lots of people who have done research on those families, one of them might have some clue for you on Thomas Williams.
