I didn't have any problems with the transfer of notes, and I installed FTM 2005 when it first came out. HOWEVER, when entering information to the notes section you MUST hit the OK button on the bottom when you're finished or it will be deleted!! Also, the cut/paste/copy features in the notes section is controlled by the right side of the mouse and not an edit button on the screen, something I didn't realize in the beginning. I love FTM 2005, but it does have its quirks. Good luck, Sharon
