Juliann: Right you are. However, understandably, the Census Bureau is pretty picky about how, and for whom, all that's handled. For those interested, I found a link I'd saved, and lo and behold it still works: http://www.census.gov/genealogy/www/agesearch.html --Hughes Williams http://www.relatedlines.com/ ----Original Message Follows---- From: "J Hansen" <[email protected]> Reply-To: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [WILLIAMS] Census Due out next? Date: Wed, 30 Nov 2005 23:25:14 -0500 Hi all, For whatever it's worth, I seem to recall you can request a search by the National Archives for a not-yet-released census record (i.e. 1940 or later), but you must pay a fee and have to provide proof of close relationship to the household of interest. I've never done this myself, but if someone really wants to check out the 1940 or a later census, this might be a possibility. Juliann
