My name is Donna M. (Wheeler) Schumacher. I am a direct descendant of Thomas Wheeler, his son Isaac Wheeler and Martha Park(e). My family history has always fascinated me; the further I have researched, the more I want & need to know. After making contact with a few "cousins" out there I've often thought of how great it would be to get together and meet other like-minded extended family members. Hence this idea. I know that some of the larger families have had family reunions throughout the years. My thought was that since so many of the "founding" families of Stonington intermarried, why not have the "Ultimate Family Reunion" with all families included? In 2009, it will be the 360th anniversary of the founding of Stonington. What a great time for all of us to come and celebrate! Just sending this out to get a feel of what you may think about it. If there is an interest in doing so, please let me know. I have never tackled something this large so if there is an interest and others have experience in doing so, the help would be greatly appreciated.
