A query at http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/tx/limestone/queries/genconnect/tex9.txt says Queen was born 10 Oct 1839 and died 2 Feb 1888 and married John B. "Jack" Rasco. Submissions at the WorldConnect Project claim her birthplace was Winston Co MS. http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi 1870 Limestone Co TX census lists what is apparently Queen as "Eliza" Williams, 32, b MS, in David Tidwell's household, with "Jno." (John) Williams, age 12, and Thomas Williams, age 9, both b TX. "Eliza" was born in MS. On the census, people were often listed by their formal or legal name, which was not necessarily the same name they were called by the family. LDS transcription of the 1880 census http://www.familysearch.org/ shows John "Raseo" and wife Elizabeth, age listed as 43, born MS, parents b SC. In their household, among other children, are sons Emmett and Thomas. Despite the age discrepancy, Emmett "Raseo" may be another name for "Jno. Williams" of the 1870 census. (At least one of the five or six WorldConnect submissions on Elizabeth lists one of her sons as John Emmett Williams, b ca 1857.) Thomas may be Thomas Williams. Ages are often off by several years on the census. ----- Original Message ----- From: "mhendrix40" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, December 05, 2005 2:18 PM Subject: Queen (Tidwell) Williams of Limestone Co., TX >I am looking for any information concerning Elizabeth Victoria (Queen) >Tidwell who was born 1837-1840, TX.
