Hi Kay, Sure hope everything will be okay after your medical procure. I was wondering if you might have a Edward Williams in your data base? The only thing I know about Edward is he had 3-sons (most likely more children) John H b abt 1823, Edward abt 1825 & Samuel abt 1834. My information came from census's and a Guion-Miller Application my grandmother filled out in 1908. I come down from John H b 1823, he died in Missouri. Thank you for any information on my Williams, Donna N & K Chestnut <nkopportunity@gorge.net> wrote: Good for you, Peggy. Do you have a WILLIAMS question you haven't asked recently? May be I will be able to pay closer attention this time. I, myself, have names and some dates on such a large WILLIAMS 'tribe', that 'no way' can I remember all the names and spouses' names, also. [I used the term 'tribe' even though, there is no hint of Native American.] I've never figured out a good, fast way to check my 'database' for them either. Just this morning I ran a screen preview of the descendants of Jonas WILLIAMS and Elizabeth THOMPSON married 1798 Mercer Co., KY., and it was 24 pages long. Of course, some (maybe half) were daughters; so they would no longer go by WILLIAMS surname. May I check for yours, especially if you have a WILLIAMS and a non-WILLIAMS surname couple? Oh yes, I do have a few WILLIAMS and WILLIAMS couples, but they don't seem to have many surviving children. P.S. I am having a 'medical procedure' today, so please don't expect an immediate response. Thank you. I have a big problem now with my memory & forget things so much easier & yet was getting afraid to ask anything!!! Those who don't want to be helpful can just ignore those questions, but it's wonderful that others still "have time" to answer......thank you.... Hi Donna, I checked several different was for your Edward WILLIAMS b. ca. 1825; but I could turn up nothing even close. Samuel WILLIAMS had one 'hit'; but not very close. I have a Samuel Aaron WILLIAMS (son of Thompson WILLIAMS) born 1845 in Washington Co., IL. and married a Hariett Ann STREET in 1866. John H. WILLIAMS had several 'hits'; but none seemed close to me. John WILLIAMS b. abt 1801 Barren Co., KY. d. 1854 m. 1st abt. 1828 ??? and m. 2nd Nancy Elizabeth BIRD. John W. WILLIAMS b. abt 1846 (son of John) m. Rebecca Ann HAWKINS 1870. John WILLIAMS (son of Allen) b. abt. 1848 IL.; but I have no marriage for him. Indirectly (my grand-daughter's line) I have a New England 'tribe' of WILLIAMSes. Eunice WILLIAMS (1702-1772) dau. of John WILLIAMS (1667-1741) and Martha WHEELER (1669-1745) is the 'end' of that line.
