Hi - I came across a reference to Williams in Peggy Hartsfield Revolutionary War widow pension's application, number W4482 on National Archives Record Series M804, Reel 1210. A John Williams, born December 1786, gave an affidavit on February 24, 1844, that he had known John and Peggy as a married couple his entire life and that he had known them when he was growing up in the household of his father, Job Williams who lived about 2 miles from the Hartsfields.
