Hi, Anyone on the list have information on Green Williams? Trying to make a connection to my William's line, from Lincoln, Casey and Pulaski Counties in KY. Thank you for your help, Janet
My great grandmother was Rosabelle Williams. Her parents were Harvey Williams and Mary Frances Abbott. I am looking for information on Harvey's parents. These Williams were mostly located in Walker and Winston Counties of Alabama. I do not know about the older generations, I have not gotten that far back in the line. Anyone with information please contact me. I hope to hear from someone soon...... Karen L. Powell
Searching for information on two brothers, William Williams and Henry Williams, who came from Ireland around 1754, and may have settled in Rowan County, NC, near Salisbury. After the Revolutionary War, they may have moved to other locations -- like Granville County, NC, or to Maryland, or elsewhere. Any information at all will be so helpful. Many thanks, Ellen
Evelyn I have gone over your posting but can not make any connection, but surely there must be one someplace. My David was born in NC in 1787 but moved to Monroe Co Tn. md Nancy Cavitt. He children came to St. Francois Co. Mo about 1850. I' looking for anyone living in Anderson, Indiana (Madison County) wh may have known my grandmother Ella Williams and possibly my uncle Hershel Williams. My grandmother, I know, lived there at Christmas time in 1941. My uncle Herchel probably did also. Both Ella and Herschel were long time residents of Elwood, Indiana. My adoptive mother was Cora Edith Williams born in 1895 in Illinois and who passed away Sept 8, 1936. She is buried in the cemetary in Tipton, Indiana. I had someone tell me that possibly my uncle Herschel may havre been involved with either ownership or management of a rest home or some type of senior care facilitythere in Anderson. I have not attempted as of this date to pursue that information further. Would appreciate anything anyone has on thse two people especially Anderson participants. Edward Jennings

Seeking family of Virginia Williams who in the 1920 census lived with her aunts, Mary and Annie Martin in Carnegie, PA (420 Newkirk St.). She was 22 years old at the time. Her Aunt Mary is listed as being born in Ireland. Carol
Hello, everyone. Darius H. WILLIAMS was my g-g'father. Here is what I know about him: b. 3 Oct 1856 in IL (info per death certificate) d. 2 Dec 1931 in Venice, Los Angeles Co., IL (same source) Father's name given as "George", birthplace NY. No name or birthplace given for his mother. (Info also per death certificate.) Found Darius in Clinton Twp., DeKalb Co., Illinois in the 1860 Census as follows: George WILLIAMS 35 MA Farmer Matilda " 25 Canada Housekeeper Darius " 3 IL unnamed boy " 2 mo. IL Later, in 1880, I found Darius (spelled 'Durias') in Winfield Twp., Cowley Co., Kansas. He age was given as 24, birthplace given as IL (but no birthplace indicated for either of his parents), unmarried, a farmer, and living alone. Since he was found living just 12 households away from my future g-g'mother, Annie E. COTTINGHAM, I am pretty doggone certain that this is my guy. An additional search of the 1880 Census for his parents/siblings yields a George WILLIAM [sic] & family listed in Buckingham Twp., Kankakee Co., Illinois: George WILLIAM Self M M W 53 NY/VT/MA Blacksmith Mary WILLIAM Wife F M W 42 Can/Can/Can Chas. H. WILLIAM Son M S W 19 IL Emmily [sic] WILLIAM Dau F S W 12 IL John WILLIAM Son M S W 9 IL May WILLIAM Dau F S W 1 IL Although I can't prove it, I have a gut feeling that this Darius' family. Their son, Chas. H., 'fits' the 2 mo. old "unnamed boy" shown in 1860 for age, gender and birth location. Also, "Mary" was a popular nickname for "Matilda". As for the slight disparity in birth location for George (MA vs. NY) . . . well, we've all seen it. Sometimes I think these folks simply didn't really KNOW where they were born. Is there anyone out there who might be able to validate or disprove this as the family of "my" Darius WILLIAMS? Thank you all in advance. Clarissa
