    3. First, I want to apologize to those who will get this more than once, as I am cross-posting. This is an open letter to my maternal line 3Xgreat grandmother, Margaret J. WILLIAMS [b. 30 Jan 1812 in Kershaw Co - d. 4 Jul 1890 in the same area]. I know that, at some point in time, you married Nathaniel B. GAY [b. 12 Aug 1812 - d. 9 Apr 1891 in Kershaw Co]. I have also been able to determine, as best I can, that you and your husband had twelve [12] children, with your daughter Rebecca being my connection back to you. If at all possible, I would really and truly appreciate any info you might want to share with me on either your family and/or that of your husband's.     3. I am looking for information regarding my husbands mother's side of family... Ben F. Williams DOB-unknown Marriage- June 10, 1911 in Ft. Smith Arkansas to Eliza Boyd DOD- Feb. 3, 1933 place unknown * I know that he was a farmer between Bentonville and Kay Springs Arkansas. His wife Eliza Boyd DOB-unknown DOD-Jan 1951 Frozen Rock, Muskogee, Oklahoma * Children Jack, Lena, Flora, Pete, Mary. Flora Ellen Williams (my husbands grandmother-Ben and Eliza's daughter) DOB-October 21, 1912 Keefton Oklahoma DOD-April 8, 1975 Sand Springs, Tulsa County, Oklahoma *Flora married Joe Buster Staton (I have his info) but we are not sure when or were they married. We do know that they had several kids, Jo Ellen, Helen, Robert, Florrine, E.J. and then there was a daughter Opal (we were told Opal is half sister but not sure if she is Flora's daughter from a previous marriage or Joe's daughter from a previous marriage) That is all the information I have on the Williams. I know that there are siblings of Flora's but I know nothing about them other than their names. I do know that Pete was in Florrine's life as I have a picture of Pete Williams... I have not only been searching for my Husbands slave ancestors for a long time but also for my Cherokee roots with no luck until your postings. Now I have connections to both families and I can't begin to thank you enough , I only hope that you will know how much this means to those of us who have had a long search . Please keep up the postings as you said a little gibberish is worth it if the information is there for future generations .     3. Hello List Admin and Members,                  I would just like to take the time to THANK all of you for your wonderful post. Weather good or bad, all of your opinions count to me. I am sorry for any inconvenience to any of you. I have a handful of folks telling me about a gibberish problem, but after careful checking , and talking  to AOL- live, I am informed that it is not on my end. And it seems to be with the DIGEST portion of the posting??? I am merely a geneologist with info that has not yet reached the web, and my intention was to get it to all of you in FREE GENEOLOGY. My intention was also to get it into the ROOTSWEB archives. Rootsweb has been a tool for geneologist , that allows us to share and have the means to connect our family's freely. I owe them alot. And I also owe every poster who has taken time to post. I want you all to know that I plan on answering each and every post that was sent to me, asking me questions and all of that sort of stuff. I exspecially want to thank all of you LIST ADMINISTRATORS for allowing the info to reach the Rootsweb archives. It will be there for generations to come. There is so much more coming out of Washington DC about the FREEDMEN. It has been long overdue. I remember back before Ex President Clinton left office and he made the statement that the FREEDMEN RECORDS needed to be indexed and taken care of. Well as a young Freedmen researcher, I have had some of the best folks to work with from Washingtion . I have been told that there is much more to come, at a later date. So I will leave you with this question. Do I continue to post to free geneology so that your children will have the records? Isn't Rootsweb for the purpose of free geneology? Is it worth a few DIGEST in gibberish to have it in your archives? Last but not least, my work on your list at this time is complete, so I will be moving on.
